Ambassador Roberta Lajous Elected as the New President of IWF Mexico

Ambassador Roberta Lajous was installed on June 28, 2012 as the newly elected president of IWF Mexico. Mexican Supreme Court Justice, Hon. Olga Sánchez Cordero preceded Ambassador Lajous as the head of IWF Mexico. Ambassador Lajous noted in a press release to the Mexican media that it is her goal to continue to propel prospects for women leaders across Mexico through IWF Mexico and to increase opportunities for young Mexican women to grow into leadership posts. Roberta Lajous has served as Mexican Ambassador to Bolivia, Cuba and Austria and she served formerly as Mexico’s Deputy Permanent representative to the United Nations in New York. She is a visiting professor at Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City.
