Colleen Ogilvie graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Biomechanical Engineering and finished her varsity volleyball career as an OUA First Team All-Star and a CIS Academic-All Canadian. She went on to join the Canadian indoor national team as a Full-Time Training Center athlete and Senior National Team member before pursuing a professional career in Germany and France. Colleen also represented Canada in the sport of beach volleyball. She began her graduate studies at the University of British Columbia in 2016, where she was awarded an NSERC Engineers in Scrubs fellowship, a program designed to foster innovation in medical technology. Colleen is currently completing her thesis through the Collaborative Intelligent Robotics and Intelligent Systems Laboratory where she is researching emerging trends in wheelchairs and assistive technologies. She complemented her studies with business courses in technology entrepreneurship and aspires to start her own tech company.
