Kelly Becker

Kelly Becker leads Innovation Partnerships for Under Armour. She grew up as the daughter of an officer in the United States Marine Corps. At Ursinus College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and a teaching certificate, she was a member of the field hockey team, winning an NCAA Division III National Championship. Kelly took her passion for athletics and teaching to collegiate coaching, where as a Graduate Assistant Coach she not only played an invaluable role in the recruiting process by bringing on one of the largest classes in the last fifty years, but also contributed to the improvement of the team’s record from last in the conference to runner-up. Additionally, Kelly earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management. After completing her degree, she was recruited to work for Founder and CEO of Under Armour, Kevin Plank handling communications and special projects. Kelly was swiftly promoted to her current role managing the Brand’s Open Innovation site for Under Armour, Idea House and plays an integral role in the annual innovation Challenge – Future Show which has resulted in landmark innovations such as the MagZip. She is also a member of the leadership team for Kevin Plank’s Cupid Cup and has collaborated with entrepreneurs named to Forbes 30 under 30 list and appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank. Recently, Becker received the Sports and Fitness Industry Association’s Future Industry Leader award. In her free time, Kelly continues to coach for USA Field Hockey, and is an assistant varsity coach at a Baltimore area high school. A committed lifelong learner, this past May, Kelly graduated from the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland with a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship.
