IWF Ohio member Elaine Roberts, President and CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, was recognized this month with the Transportation Champions of Change Award from the White House.
The Champions of Change program was created as an opportunity for the White House to feature individuals doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities.
Roberts was selected by U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and the White House for her achievements and for exemplary leadership and innovation in transportation.
The White House press release states, “Ms. Elaine Roberts was instrumental in envisioning, designing, developing, and implementing a plan to build an intermodal facility at Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. Her leadership led to the opening of the intermodal terminal, a 210,000 lift/truck facility that is the heart of the Heartland Corridor.”
