EY WABN Mentee Kim Brennan gave a winning performance at the 2016 World Rowing Cup III in Poznan, Poland on June 19, capturing Gold in the Women’s Single Skulls. Kim took Bronze in the Women’s Single Skulls at the 2012 London Olympic Games, and has since clinched Gold at both the 2013 and 2015 World Rowing Championships.
Her win in Poznan sets high expectations as she heads to the much anticipated 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Kim’s ambition and commitment can be seen both in and out of the water. She sits on the Australian Olympic Committee Executive Board and is Chairperson of their Athletes’ Commission, and sits on the Rowing Australia’s Athletes’ Commission. Kim is a qualified lawyer, having practiced intellectual property law, commercial law and sports law, and is passionate about creating opportunities for young women and girls to play sport.
