IWF President Teresa V-F Weintraub and IWF delegates joined Beth Brooke-Marciniak, Global Vice Chair – Public Policy for EY in Rio this week to enjoy the 2016 summer Olympic Games and to advocate for women’s leadership at the August 10th Women Fast Forward Event. With them was 2015 IWF International Hall of Fame Honoree and Olympic Champion Swimmer, Donna de Varona, a pioneering advocate for women in sports and former WNBA point-guard Michelle Brooke-Marciniak.
IWF and EY leaders also met in Rio as part of the Women Athletes Business Network (WABN) Mentoring Program, which places elite female athlete with prominent women business leaders from the IWF membership in a mentoring program designed to harness the untapped potential of female athletes.

The festivities coincide with the opening of the Olympians Reunion Centre presented by EY where Olympians of all ages gather to share in the Olympic celebration.
