Founding President of IWF Germany, Anja Gockel, presented her winter collection “No Room for Doubts” at a sponsored event for Berlin Fashion Week at Germany’s premier Luxury hotel, the Adlon on the Brandenburg Gate. Gocke was awarded, “Designer of the Year,” for 2017 at the event, which is also known as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Anja Gockel is a German fashion designer and the Managing Director of her globally celebrated namesake line. Her collections have been shown in fashion capitals throughout the world, including Düsseldorf, Milan, Hamburg, Paris, Berlin, Moscow and London.
After studying in Hamburg and London, Gockel began her design career as a protégé to British fashion and design icon Vivienne Westwood. Gockel’s designs have been worn by some of the world’s foremost fashion icons such as Heidi Klum and Alek Wek. She has also served as the private couturier to H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden. She previously served on the IWF global board of directors.
