The Jordan News Agency reported on IWF Jordan’s Leadership Enhancement and Mentoring Programme (LEMP) last week, an initiative which will advance the leadership capacities of 30 Jordanian women, empowering them to ascend to higher roles in government.
“Our Leadership program aims to empower women in their mid-career to enable them to break the glass ceiling in their respective jobs,” says Luma Kawar, IWF Jordan President and founder of Bridges of Understanding.
Women are selected for the program based on merit, professionalism, and expertise. The program is managed in partnership with Global Affairs Canada. LEMP began 9 years ago and has trained more than 160 women to date.
