IWF Ohio President Mary Lynn Foster has been selected to serve as the Chief Executive Officer for the Ohio Buckeye Region of the American Red Cross. Foster possesses more than 25 years of management and leadership experience and will now lead the efforts of the American Red Cross for 45 counties across the state of Ohio.
“I am beyond thrilled to accept a leadership role with such an impactful organization,” said Foster. “The breadth and scope of the Red Cross is like none other. I can’t wait to continue working alongside the great staff and volunteers here, who truly make a difference every single day.”
Foster is a graduate Western Michigan University where she earned a degree in accounting. Her career began in the for-profit sector as a CPA, working in a variety of financial positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Safelite Auto Glass Corporation, Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Charles Penzone Inc., where she ultimately served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President. Foster joins the Red Cross from her most recent position as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Children’s Hunger Alliance.
Outside of the workplace, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family while serving our most vulnerable residents. Mary Lynn is passionate about the community and has been involved with several other non-profits, including serving on the Finance Committee for the United Way of Central Ohio and is currently President of the Ohio Chapter of the International Women’s Forum.
Foster began her role as Chief Executive Officer on Thursday, December 29.
