While in Paris for the inaugural meeting of IWF France, IWF President Teresa V-F Weintraub, Managing Director of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. and IWF France President Lucille Desjonquères, founder of de Femmes Au Cœur Des Conseils were featured in the French periodical Opinion Nationale in an exclusive interview.
Teresa shared how she defines success in her own life, her vision for the International Women’s Forum and the resolve and experience which led her to resounding success in business and civic engagement on an international scale. Teresa mentioned the changing environment for IWF in 2016 as it expands as the preeminent, singularly unique organization of dynamic women leaders in thirty-five countries and seventy-six forums around the world.
“For IWF, my goal is to redefine its place in the current landscape of women’s organizations in order to keep it as relevant as ever. When IWF was established, women were not allowed in many men’s clubs, and this is just one example among many of discrimination. The relevance of IWF, in the context of that time, was the support system that had been developed. The situation has changed. So, we adjust our goals with the realities of today.” – IWF President Teresa V-F Weintraub
