Kelly O’Dwyer of IWF Australia was sworn in today as Assistant Treasurer and Small Business Minister for the Commonwealth of Australia. The position was recently elevated to the cabinet by Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull, who assumed office this month.
Following the ceremony, she made this announcement on her Facebook page; “It was an honour to be sworn in as the Small Business Minister and Assistant Treasurer today. Thank you all for your best wishes. I look forward to working with the Treasurer Scott Morrison MP and Assistant Minister to the Treasurer Alex Hawke MP, Federal Member for Mitchell to ensure Australia’s strong economic future.
Ms. O’Dwyer, who previously served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, is a lawyer by training and an expert on policy, investment, corporate governance and accounting. She will work with Prime Minister Turnbull on tax reform, a central component of the campaign agenda.
