THE BARBARA FERGUS CHALLENGE GRANT
A member of IWF Ohio and Treasurer of the Leadership Foundation Board of Directors, Barbara created this Challenge Grant in 2010 to help the Leadership Foundation reach its Endowment goal of $5 million. Each and every dollar raised was matched by Barbara, who generously pledged a total contribution of up to $100,000.
We are pleased to share that with her support and many others, the Leadership Foundation reached it’s Endowment goal in November 2010.
THE JEANNE HERBERGER CHALLENGE GRANT IN HONOR OF LILLIE RICHARDELLA, IWF & IWF LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION CEO
Jeanne Herberger, former IWF Leadership Foundation Treasurer, once again raised the prospects for women’s leadership through her significant generosity and support of the IWF Leadership Foundation with an Endowment Challenge Grant of $500,000 in honor of CEO Lillie Richardella.
“The IWF Leadership Foundation has made tremendous gains in support, in financial commitment to their programs and to impacting women’s lives globally since its inception. Lillie Richardella, CEO, has been a catalyst for this tremendous growth and to the enhancement of these programs. In honor of her leadership and my retirement as Treasurer of the IWF Leadership Foundation Board, I wish to make a new challenge gift to the IWF Leadership Foundation Endowment Fund…I wish to honor Lillie with this challenge grant. I cannot thank her enough for her outstanding leadership which has taken the IWF into the 21st century and has significantly assured its future.”
JEAN HEAD SISCO EMPOWERMENT FUND
In honor of Jean Head Sisco, past Chairman of the Leadership Foundation, an early supporter of the Fellows Program, and a Washington, DC Forum Member, the Jean Head Sisco Empowerment Fund was established within the Endowment.
Through Jean’s exemplary vision and guidance, both the International Women’s Forum and its Leadership Foundation have thrived and grown. Her unwavering commitment to women in leadership has inspired scores of other women. It was Jean’s vision that the future of IWF’s Leadership Foundation Fellows Program be secured through the development and successful management of an Endowment fund to assure its on-going operation. Without her, the International Women’s Forum’s Leadership Foundation would not be here today.
THE CAROLYN GOLDING ALUMNAE LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This fund was initiated by Fellows Program alumnae in honor of Carolyn Golding, who previously served as Facilitator for the Fellows Program. Carolyn’s insights, expertise, thoughtful reflections, and mentoring have made a significant impact on the program and its participating fellows. The scholarship is aimed to provide financial support for women who would otherwise be unable to participate in the program. Beneficiaries of the scholarship will be women from developing nations, non-profit organizations, and other circumstances where funding for tuition is out of reach.
THE MARGITA WHITE FUND
This dedicated fund in honor of Margita White will help underwrite the tuition of young women leaders in the communications field within the Leadership Foundation’s Fellows Program. Margita exemplified all the attributes of authentic leadership that we seek to impart to the next generation of women.
A special thank you to those individuals and companies making the Leadership Foundation’s work possible.
