September 25th, 2015 – Reshma Saujani, CEO of the renowned Girls Who Code – a nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in the technology and engineering sectors – was featured in Fortune’s “40 Under 40” list this week which recognizes the most influential young people in business.
Saujani will be a featured speaker for the 2015 IWF World Leadership Conference in Boston next month.
She is the former Deputy Public Advocate of New York City. As Executive Director of the Fund for Public Advocacy, Saujani brought together the public and private sectors to encourage entrepreneurship and civic engagement across NYC.In 2010, Saujani became the first South Asian woman to run for Congress, promoting smarter policies to spur innovation and job creation.
With Girls Who Code, she has galvanized industry leaders to close the gender gap in STEM education and empower girls to pursue careers in technology and engineering.
