Elite women athletes bring a critical foundation of leadership to any endeavor that can’t be taught in the classroom. To harness this potential, the IWF Leadership Foundation, in partnership with Ernst & Young (EY), developed the EY Women Athletes Business Network (WABN) Mentoring Program. The WABN Mentoring Program is designed to provide the necessary support and guidance elite athletes require as they transition from sport to new career paths or advance further into their post-sport profession. Each year, we pair up to 25 elite women athletes with IWF leaders and mentors for a high-touch mentoring and training experience.
Now in its third year, 96 percent of WABN mentees report their relationship with an IWF mentor and access to EY WABN resources has benefited them. Click here to meet the 2017 WABN mentees and their IWF mentors.
The training component of WABN is the Deedee Corradini Leadership Roundtable, a two-day leadership development program. Named in honor of Deedee Corradini, past President of IWF, the program provides a space for mentees to deepen their professional growth through expert-led workshops as well as candid discussions with renowned leaders, sports figures, and their peers. It is the only in-person meeting of their program year. To enhance the 2017 WABN mentee training experience, we need your support.
Throughout her career, Deedee pushed for progress on women’s leadership issues. She also had a particular passion for sports. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to pay tribute to her legacy through the WABN Mentoring Program. Taking place in Houston this October 24-27, the Deedee Corradini Leadership Roundtable is held in conjunction with the IWF World Leadership Conference.
Help us honor Deedee’s legacy with a $250-$500 donation to support the Roundtable. Your contribution will help provide the additional resources needed to create the experience and impact Deedee would have wanted.
We hope to reach our $25,000 goal by September 1. Thank you for supporting and celebrating women, leadership, and sport!
