2017 IWF World Leadership Conference Highlights, Houston, Texas
The International Women’s Forum (IWF) World Leadership Conference in Houston brought together nearly 1,000 women experts and innovators from 40 nations to discuss the world’s most pressing challenges. The two-day conference provided an important platform for women thought-leaders from across the globe to engage on topics ranging from infectious diseases and public health to space exploration. These influential leaders convened to exchange ideas and develop strategies that result in meaningful change. This year’s theme, Global Citizens: Interconnected, Inquisitive, Engaged, explored the definition and significance of global citizenship in today’s often polarized world.
IWF members and guests from more than 30 nations gathered in Stockholm on May 17-19, 2017 to explore the massive shifts underway in technology, privacy, sustainability, migration and demographics, as well as political shifts toward insularity throughout the world. The conference sessions examined what can be done to create more sustainable societies, economies and environments in the face of this dramatic change. IWF spotlighted the music and innovation of Sweden and went behind the scenes into Stockholm’s most iconic institutions and celebrated sites.
