IWF Canada member Wendy Cukier, the Vice President of Research and Innovation at Ryerson University, recently published an article in the Globe and Mail examining what it takes for innovation to take hold in business and technology.
In the article she emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary perspectives in order for innovation in technology to connect with consumers.
“Simply put, inventors and entrepreneurs can create brilliant new technologies, services and processes. But if these technologies, services and processes are not actually used or adopted, there is no innovation.” (Source: Globe and Mail)
Cukier is the incumbent President of Brock University and will be the first female to hold the position, she is also the first graduate of the university to serve as President.
