Celebrating International Women’s Day by Paying It Forward

On this International Women’s Day the International Women’s Forum celebrates the next generation of women leaders and salutes IWF members from across the globe who are providing mentorship, community, and targeted training through their support of the IWF Leadership Fellows program.

Worldwide research consistently confirms three key barriers that restrict the potential of women leaders: limited access to business networks, lack of mentors and inadequate leadership training. IWF’s Leadership Fellows program directly tackles these barriers to help tomorrow’s most talented women realize their full potential. Our Leadership Fellows alumnae, members, and Forums consistently pay it forward to the next generation.

IWF Celebrates Fellows Program Alumna Leena Nair, CEO of CHANEL

We are so proud of IWF Leadership Fellows program alumna Leena Nair who recently became the new Global Chief Executive Officer of CHANEL! Leena stated, “We are all products of what came before us. I am so grateful to all my leaders, mentors, coaches, and colleagues for the role played in my development. You have invested in me with your time, your wisdom and, most importantly, your kindness.”

This is exactly why our theme for International Women’s Day is Paying it Forward. Because each of us plays a role in advancing women’s leadership and championing equality worldwide by uplifting the next generation of women leaders.

Cheers to Leena and all of our outstanding Leadership Fellows!

Thank You To IWF Fellows Program Mentors Like Marty Wikstrom

Today we are highlighting IWF Leadership Fellows program mentor Marty Wikstrom from IWF United Kingdom.

Here is one point of wisdom from Aristotle that she shares with her mentees: “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

Thank you Marty for paying it forward!
