On March 20-21, 2023, we began IWF’s 50th Anniversary festivities by saluting our Visionary Leaders, the women who made our beloved organization what it is today.

The event was a global celebration of what we have achieved together: the power of women leaders supporting and inspiring each other – an idea that was born in New York City in 1974 but had the power and resonance to travel the world.

Attendees heard from world-class speakers including Ambassador Susan Rice, Lauren Van Wazer, Pamela Passman, Betsy Fischer Martin, the Honorary Henrietta Holsman, and four past IWF Global Presidents Carolyn Carter, Allyson Maynard-Gibson, Esther Silver-Parker, Deborah Trudeau, and Teresa V-F Weintraub. Ambassadors of The Bahamas, Barbados, Chile, Colombia, Greece, Jordan, Sweden, Iceland, South Africa, and Trinidad and Tobago hosted members at Diplomatic Dine Arounds.

Together, we reflected upon the success of the past 50 years and looked at the potential for the next 50.
