Marina Fernie graduated with a degree in Business Administration in Argentina and has since then worked in multinational fast-moving consumer goods companies. With over 25 years of experience, she is currently Marketing Vice President at Danone Brazil. 

Marina started her professional career at Unilever, where she worked for more than 20 years in Argentina, Brazil, and the UK in local, regional, and global roles. She contributed to the growth of brands such as Dove, Sunsilk, TresEmmé, Knorr, and Hellmann’s with her strong passion for understanding people, translating insights into business opportunities, and crafting brands with strong purpose to make a positive impact in the world. Marina was responsible for the Dove Self-Esteem fund that has the aim of strengthening young girls’ self-esteem by teaching them about real beauty. She also led the battle against food waste while working on the Hellmann’s brand. 

Marina joined Danone in 2020 as Marketing VP, also responsible for Digital and Insights. With her powerful combination of strategic prowess and business drive, she is consistently delivering strong results and fully committed to the company’s mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible. She is transforming the company portfolio with brands such as YoPro and Activia by being totally focused on delivering health benefits. Marina is leading the digital transformation to future-proof the company, promoting a culture of innovation, and embodying creativity and agility while doing so. 

Throughout her career Marina has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the organizations she has served.  She is currently a sponsor of the Danone Racial Diversity Program, working to address systemic barriers and being a true advocate and catalyst for change.
