The value of our global community resonates
across countries, cultures, and generations
In 1974, as women were breaking into the executive ranks across all professions, New York City philanthropist and civic leader Elinor Guggenheimer decided they needed what men had always had: A network to support, inspire and help them climb the ladder of their careers and their lives. She, together with Muriel Siebert, Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Muriel Fox, created the International Women’s Forum.
Fifty years later, IWF is more relevant than ever and we need your support to keep bringing IWF to more geographies, to more generations in new ways.
Elly’s Ladder is a giving initiative named after our founder that will allow us to transform our digital communications, expand our global footprint, and continue to connect the most accomplished women leaders across the world.
Making the IWF magic available for future generations
As the IWF community grows, our need increases for consistent and predictable support to grow our footprint, expand our programs, and create the infrastructure needed to continue being a vibrant force for positive change for the next 50 years.

Other Ways to Give
Help us advance our mission and share your corporate story with our influential network of 8,000 women executives worldwide
For donors considering an annual gift of $25,000+, our philanthropy team can answer any questions you have, including how funds are used and what benefits are available to donors.
Commonly donated through a will or trust, planned giving is arranged in the present and allocated to the organization at a future date.
“You face the glass ceiling more than once in a woman’s career. This is why we need to continuously advance women’s leadership, and Elly’s Ladder is a very good way to do that.”
